Starburst Twisted set for summer debut
Mars is ramping up plans for the launch this summer of its newest Starburst innovation - Starburst Twisted.
Building on last years new Starburst Choozers, considered one of the sugar categorys most successful launches in the last three years, Starburst Twisted is set to excite and reignite the market in 2008. Starburst Twisted combines two flavours in one fruit chew, creating a marbled effect sweet and a mouth-watering taste experience. Starburst Twisted, Can You Resist The Twist, are available in three varieties Strawberry & Lime, Cherry & Lemon and Blueberry & Banana, in either a 180g Bag (RRP £1.25) or a 45g Stick (RRP £0.36). Retailers are encouraged to stock up and reap the incremental profits available to them from this new sugar innovation. Bep Sandhu, Trade Relations Manager for Mars comments: In response to consumer demand, we have continued innovating extensions to the Starburst brand. By supporting its launch with a substantial marketing campaign, Starburst Twisted will help retailers realise growth in the Everyday Sugar category. A marketing spend of over £2million is planned, including a television campaign throughout the summer. In-store, support will include eye-catching and colourful pre-filled displays on top of unique and imaginative point of sale cases. Retailers are encouraged to stock the original fruit chew Starburst, Starburst Choozers together with Starburst Twisted to maximise impact and drive increase sales. Starburst Twisted will be available from 27 April 2008.
