MSC certified species already available on the fresh fish counters at Morrisons include: Cape Hake Morrisons fish buyer Matthew Bailey said: We aim to give our customers every confidence that the fish we sell have been sourced responsibly. Rupert Howes, chief executive of the MSC, said: Consumers are increasingly asking for certified sustainably caught seafood, and the MSC eco-label, due to appear on several species soon, will assure them that the fish they are buying hasnt contributed to the global problem of overfishing. This is a very welcome commitment from a major national retailer. Morrisons plans to display the MSC eco-label to highlight the certified species on counters by the end of October.
