Tesco secures two-thirds of Dobbies shares
Tesco's has secured a 65.5% stake in Dobbies Garden Centres, the retailer said today, after the offer for shareholders to accept its 1,500p-per-share offer expired at lunchtime on Friday.
However, Scots entrepreneur Sir Tom Hunter has retained his stake of more than 29% in Dobbies, preventing Tesco from delisting the business.
