Hadham recalls "Naturally Pure" English Spring Water over contamination fears
Batches of a branded bottled water have been recalled after a health scare. Hadham Water has recalled its two-litre bottles of still and carbonated Hadham Naturally Pure English Spring Water because of possible bacterial contamination. The Food Standards Agency is advising people not to drink the batches in question amid fears that doing so could cause sickness and diarrhoea. But the Health Protection Agency said it was not currently aware of any cases of illness that have resulted from drinking this water. The affected batches have best before dates between 11 June and 28 June 2008 and have been distributed across England. This water is also sold through Sainsburys stores as part of its Basics range. Sainsburys has recalled its Basics table water two-litre bottles (still and carbonated) with best before dates between 11 June 2008 and 28 June 2008. Customers who have bought any of the potentially affected products are being urged to return them to the place of purchase.
