Lightbulbs targeted by guerrilla greens

Tuesday, 29 May 2007
A bunch of "guerrilla green" activisits are targeting UK retailers in a bid to get them to switch to energy-efficient lightbulbs.

The Light Brigade have been swooping on stores and fixing bright orange stickers to non-energy-efficient bulbs, describing them as "old", "wasteful" and "past their sell-by date".

They have also been delivering giant manifestos to store headquarters across the country asking retailers to remove the old bulbs from their shelves by the end of 2007.

They have threatened retailers with a "visitation" if they fail to comply.
