US firm plans London venture
Natural and organic foods supermarket Whole Foods Market says it is opening a 75,000-square-foot flagship store in Kensington High Street, central London in early 2007.
According to reports in today's press, the company chairman and ceo John Mackey said the UK is an obvious first choice to expand Whole Foods Market beyond the US into Europe because of its advanced market for organic foods.
The move follows last year's acquisition of UK chain Fresh and Wild.
