Spar goes futuristic at Broomhill site |

Broomhill in Glasgow has become the latest Spar outlet to be refurbished as part of the Stores of the Future programme. The company revealed that the decision was taken to refurbish the store after customer feedback suggested a number of sections could be relocated or enhanced. Richard Bennett, retail director at the firm, noted that there was a lack of organic items available at the location, something that has been addressed. He said: "The intention was to draw more customers into the store especially at weekends, matching the range to the customer base and using more local suppliers." Related items are now promoted together in the to Go snacking section of the store, which is based five minutes away from the centre of the city. More than 550 new lines have been added at the venue in total. Spar will also supply seven more of its stores at Total UK petrol station forecourts, it has been confirmed today. Related Articles
