'Normal' people to front Asda campaign |

Asda has said that it will move away from using famous faces in its adverts and instead make public sector workers the focal point of these promotional campaigns. ![]() In the past, the supermarket has enlisted celebrities to front its clothing promotions, but now wishes to focus in on so-called real people. The developments have taken place at the present time so that Asda can give coverage to its new range of George clothes. Brand director at George Fiona Lambert said that consumers were hinting that a change would be the best way forward. "What we have done is saved money and worked out how to pass these savings to our customers by lowering our prices and improving quality and design," she commented. Asda last week revealed in a survey it conducted that consumers are optimistic about their diets and the food they can buy for their families, but are less happy the overall economy. It has also suggested that some manufacturing operations could be moved from Asia because of the associated costs. Related Articles
