Tesco is facing possible trouble in the US after the United Food and Commercial Workers Union (UFCW) reported a supplier for the alleged unfair dismissal of workers.
According to the UFCW, supplier to Tesco's Fresh & Easy chain, 2 Sisters Food Group, sacked the six members of staff because they attended a union recruitment meeting, reports the Independent.
"We have uncovered evidence that workers are being harassed and intimidated by 2 Sisters management to deter union activity, in clear contravention of US labour laws," campaigns director at the UFCW Emily Stewart commented.
