My client has become one of the most successful home furnishings retailers and is currently enjoying rapid growth throughout the UK. Currently trading out of nearly 100 stores they aim to open a further 20 stores over the coming 12 months. Their success has been achieved by offering their customers a wide range of soft furnishings and other home ware products at great value prices. The majority of their stores are located out of town and offer not only great products but also a very warm and welcoming environment.
Position
Reporting to the area manager you will lead and motivate the store team to achieve the required standards of sales promotion, customer service and cost control that will deliver the store budget and objectives. You will have 2 assistant managers and 70+ staff members to help you achieve your target. You will have full autonomy and it is up to you to establish a warm and inviting environment not only for your customers but also your staff.
Person
You will be currently managing a high turnover store (£3m +) and thrive in a high energy, fast-paced environment. You will have a proven track record with at least two years experience as Store Manager, preferably for a well known branded retailer. You will be commercial, with a hands on approach, able to inspire your people, and above all, have an enormous passion for retail.
