Working within large budgets and large categories, as a junior buyer, you are expected to be an expert in negotiating in a variety of styles, very analytical, results driven, and have a real passion for the both the product and brand.
Your duties will include:
- Assisting in the expansion and development of the category.
- Searching new suppliers, and developing relationships to drive down costs.
- Coordinate activities with supply, marketing and merchandising to achieve category goals.
- Work on developing new products.
- Reviewing and reporting on range performance, and suggesting appropriate action to develop the portfolio of brands with mass appeal and meet performance targets of the business plan.
- Support the buyer to monitor performance against KPIs.
