My client is a new and very rapidly growing business. They are in the gardening/horticultural industry and have recently expanded with plans to grow a lot more in the near future. Main purpose of the Job
*To assist the restaurant manager in the day to day running of business in the Coffee Shop
*Supervising staff, cash handling
*Stock-taking, ordering supplies and undertaking cooking duties when necessary Ensuring that the environment is kept above the standards required
Staff Supervision
*Supervising of various staff FT PT and weekenders
*Use initiative to motivate them and keep all the jobs in the coffee shop covered
*Dealing with suppliers and stock
*Choose product and place orders
*Chase orders
*Sign off the invoices and give to Accounts dept.
*Make orders from the White Board
Cooking
*Supervise the Chef during the week and choose what menus to have
*At weekend responsible for cooking the pastries and scones, 2 main course , soup option, jacket potato and filling and a dessert.
*In week = minimal but weekend do all the cooking
Customer care
*Ensure customers receive a good service, that the restaurant is clean and tidy at all times
*Deal with customer complaints effectively
*Form good relationships with customers
Accountancy
*Cash handling
*Stock taking
*Looking at gross profit margins and budgets
Other Duties
*IT duties of adding records to the computerised system, research, marketing ideas,etc.
