This leading DIY retailer and builders' merchant is currently enjoying its twelfth consecutive year of record results, and with continued expansion is now looking for a network operations development manager to project manage and manage a project team in delivering network solutions and step changes in network efficiency and performance.
You will be required to:
- Create and implement new network solutions to new business requirements e.g. home delivery.
- Drive network development and reconfiguration.
- Maintain effective and efficient product migration in line with physical network development.
- Optimise network ranging.
- Develop DC design and layout.
- Implement strategic projects to deliver improved operational efficiencies and performance.
Reporting directly into the general manager of supply chain development, you will manage 2 direct reports and a team of development analysts. You should have experience of warehousing operations with development remit, as well as an in depth understanding of the delivery process and impacts on cost and service. Experienced project management (pragmatic prince/six sigma etc) with a history of successful implementation. General understanding of inventory and buying processes will also be advantageous, especially from a similar hard goods background.
