M&S team wins visual merchandising competition
Marks & Spencer won the first ever Skillsmart Retail Visual Merchandising Competition yesterday – a competition designed to highlight the skills needed to work in retail.
The retailers team created its winning display at the live final at the In-Store Show, Earls Court, in just four. Laura Douse, windows manager at Marks & Spencer who headed up the winning team, said: Were ecstatic. Its been a really fun day out and its great to take hold of a creative project from start to finish and actually get out there and do it. Its brilliant. The teams entry was inspired by the companys Plan A environmental scheme and featured entirely re-used materials, with re-worked dresses and recycled resources. Teams had a budget of £500 to create a project proposal, a mood board, and finally, the live display.
