New self-service coffee bar for c-storesSource : SielaffSielaff, a leading European manufacturer of vending machines and glass-fronted merchandisers, has announced the launch of the Barista Uno. This is a stylish, fully automatic, purpose-built self-service coffee bar, which is perfect for self-serve takeaway locations, particularly convenience stores, petrol forecourts and motorway service areas. Barista Uno The Barista Uno is a bean-to-cup coffee machine that dispenses a menu of speciality drinks including espresso, cappuccino, lattè, hot chocolate and many other variants all made with fresh milk. Included in the standard specification is a 20-litre fresh milk cooler, integral cup holders with the choice of two cup sizes, coin mechanism, built-in telemetry and PC software. Optional extras include a separate hot water tap and add-on modules for waste disposal and product storage. Internally, the Barista Uno is fitted with many advanced features such as Sielaff's own grinder and brewing mechanism and hospital grade hoses. All these innovative technical features are tried and tested on Sielaff's well-respected range of Sielissimo free-standing vending machines. For the customer, the Barista Uno is simplicity itself to use. Guidance is given on cup size selection by means of flashing LEDs and drink selection is made using the easy-to-read product menu. The coin mechanism gives change, so the correct money is not essential and, optionally, the unit may be fitted with a banknote reader. For the operator, the Barista Uno will appeal as a well-designed and extremely attractive machine with such a small footprint that it will take up very little valuable floor space. Speaking about the new machine, Sielaff UK General Manager, Karen Nash, commented: The Barista Uno is a potential goldmine as our appetite for takeaway speciality coffees increases. "It will appeal to outlets where hot drinks are not the main source of customer visits. I'm thinking of corner shops, petrol forecourts and convenience stores. Here coffee 'to go' can easily become an important source of additional revenue an added value opportunity with good profit potential.
