Confectionery industry raises £210,000 at Candy Ball
The Confectionery industry and allied trades gathered at the Grosvenor House Hotel to paint the town red in aid of the Confectioners Benevolent Fund.
This is the largest industry event of the year, which saw hundreds of companies come together to support our industry charity. The guests were transported into a world of the colour red as they entered the Crush Foyer, with adverts of red branded product and the famous tombola brimming with donated stock. The night quite literally started with a bang, as the candelabra centrepieces exploded with a shower of light adding a fantastic element of surprise for the guests. Entertainment came form the Red Hot Chilli Pipers who rocked the house, and the highly energetic and colourful Performance Dance Company filled the floor with an array of routines. This was all done to help raise over £210,000 for our industry charity, which helps colleagues when they find themselves in need of support. If you know of anyone who may need some assistance, or would like to get involved with the charity, please call the Fund on 020 7404 5222 or for more details check out www.sweetcharity.net
