Payzone UK offers Western Union money service in selected stores

Payzone UK, the European consumer payments and cash distribution network, is to offer the Western Union money transfer service across selected stores in its UK network of 30,000 retailers.

Western Union, a leader in global money transfer services, provides consumers with fast, reliable and convenient ways to send and receive money around the world through a network of more than 320,000 agent locations in over 200 countries and territories.

Payzone UK has entered into a 3-year business relationship with GAP Vassilopoulos FZE, an operator of the Western Union service in the UK and Northern Ireland.

Paul Charmatz, Managing Director of Payzone UK, said: "We are very excited about the opportunity of our prepayment network offering Western Union's money transfer services. We believe this is a credit to our service and network.

We anticipate that in the first year hundreds of new retailers will start providing this service generating many thousands of transactions."
