UNO wins 150 store roll-out with Co-op

UNO is delighted to announce that after several months of involvement in an extensive and demanding tender process, UNO has been awarded a new contract with The Co-operative Group.

The new contract consists of 150 stores over the next two years, at an average value of £200,000 per store. This bolsters UNO’s forward order book by £30million of turnover for 2008 & 2009.

The work differs from the United Co-op work that UNO has been doing for some years in that UNO will now act as the main, turnkey contractor, responsible for managing all trades and all procurement for jobs. Both UNO Retail Solutions and UNO Construction will be involved in the work.

UNO Group’s CEO, Dominic Perks, said: “It is immensely exciting to have been entrusted with such a big contract.

“Whilst we have worked for United Co-op for many years, it is still a huge achievement to have passed through such a rigorous tender process and be deemed competent to deliver such a large volume of work.

“I would like to congratulate all the members of the team involved in winning this contract, the biggest in UNO’s history!”
