Ian and Ruston have both come on board as trustees for the charity and will play an active part in the day-to-day running, welfare and long-term strategy of Caravan.

Both Ruston and Ian bring with them an enormous wealth of experience which will be invaluable to the charity as it moves forward with its fundraising and welfare development activities.

Ruston has extensive experience of running highly successful pension schemes and the charity will hugely benefit from having him involved.

Ruston comments: “I am delighted to come on board as a trustee for Caravan. Having assisted the charity over the years with input into welfare strategy and how that strategy can be applied in the modern working environment, it is a great pleasure to be able to step up my level of involvement and play a more active part in every area of the organisation.”

The second addition to the board of trustees, Ian Radcliffe, has spent many years with P&G and has extensive knowledge of the UK grocery industry which will certainly prove extremely useful in moving the Caravan awareness strategy forward.

Ian comments: “Caravan is a charity close to my heart and which we have supported for a while at P&G. I am genuinely delighted to have a chance to serve as a trustee and hope my experience and knowledge of the wider industry will enable me to add further insight, value and input into the running of the charity.”

Gillian Barker, Director General of Caravan, said: “This is an exciting time for Caravan with Ruston and Ian both joining the board of trustees. With fresh ideas, valuable knowledge, vast experience and a true dedication to the cause of Caravan and its trustees, 2008 seems set to be a successful and positive year for us.”
