Sharwoods launches print-at-home coupon campaign

Read more about
Source : Couponstar

Sharwoods, the well-known manufacturer of authentic Asian food, has partnered with digital solutions company, Couponstar, to assist in the multi-million pound launch of its new authentic Thai range– a scheme that is proving to be a huge success – by encouraging customers to sample the new Thai range with the aid of print at home coupons.

Using Couponstar’s Bricks technology, an online proprietary coupon platform, Sharwoods is able to distribute the Thai range coupons directly to interested consumers efficiently and securely through its own website without increasing internal workload.

Sharwoods is fully supportive of digital marketing as a means of developing its brand and maintaining a loyal and growing customer base, and was keen to further its success in this area by embracing Couponstar’s unique consumer-printable coupon strategy.

Sharwoods’ website was designed and developed by Manchester digital marketing agency, Code Computerlove.

Client services director at Code Computerlove, Andrew Davenport said: “Despite its strong position at the forefront of the Asian food market, Sharwoods recognised enormous growth potential in the Asian, Chinese and Indian meal categories, and wanted to capitalise on this by educating and inspiring its customers through exciting new features on a redeveloped website.”

Davenport continues: “Couponstar’s technology provided a real solution in support of the Thai launch, giving customers an incentive to visit and register with the website while rewarding them for their engagement, increasing brand awareness and promoting the brand new Thai range.”

As the market leader in the consumer-printable coupon industry, Couponstar’s technology is unique in providing organisations with a proven solution to securely and efficiently issue personalised and trackable coupons via the internet, critically bridging the gap between online marketing and consumers’ offline purchasing behaviour.

And with typical redemption rates of 20% plus – significantly higher than industry averages – Couponstar can help brands cost effectively acquire new customers and drive in-store sales of brand new products.

10,000 coupons were made available to registered customers for a period of two months, promotion of the campaign being limited to the Sharwoods website and supportive email to heighten the chance of reaching consumers who were likely to remain loyal.

Davenport explains: “Couponstar’s unique technology facilitated a controlled distribution of an important promotion that is fully trackable. The ability to track and measure the success of a promotion at every point, from click through to the number of consumers opting to print a personalised voucher and, via grocery retailers, those then redeeming the voucher in store, really sets Couponstar apart from the crowd. We are thrilled to report an astonishing redemption rate so far of 25.7%”

Davenport concludes: “Couponstar have been very helpful, not only in the management of the campaign but also in their assistance on future new business and proposals, and we would gladly recommend them to others in the retail and marketing industry.”
