Palmer and Harvey, the UK's largest wholesaler distributor, is pleased to announce the launch of Partnership Plus, a new scheme providing fully tailored retail solutions to boost the sales and profits of its independent customers.

The launch of Partnership Plus follows an in-depth strategic review of all aspects of Palmer and Harvey’s business with particular focus on strengthening the Company’s current offering to the independent retail market.

With the launch of Partnership Plus, Palmer and Harvey, in addition to its market leading delivery capabilities will broaden its wholesale offering by leveraging its knowledge of the retail sector.

This new scheme will provide fully tailored solutions to its independent retail customers in areas such as specialised category management, stock merchandising including best in class planograms, expert business advice identifying new sales opportunities and exclusive promotional packages for big brand products.

Responding to the rising consumer trends towards convenience shopping, retailers subscribing to Partnership Plus will further benefit from a wide range of chilled foods including ready meals, pizzas and other food items that would be available exclusively to Palmer and Harvey customers.

Supporting this, Partnership Plus will provide administrative support functions that will provide single integrated booking forms and invoices along with dedicated phone support for customers seeking advice on any aspect of the Partnership Plus offering.

Chris Etherington, Chief Executive of Palmer and Harvey, said: “As the retail environment gets more competitive it is vital that independent retailers strengthen their offering in order to efficiently compete and provide consumers with real choice.

“Palmer and Harvey, through its position as the UK’s largest wholesale distributor, has the twin benefits of independence and experience with which to advise retailers on the best strategy to manage their businesses, drive sales and boost profitability.

“Through Partnership Plus, Palmer and Harvey will leverage its scale, capability and deep understanding of the retail sector to provide a fully integrated offering that will help independent businesses remain competitive.”

I don't understand? why don't people just buy their produce from my mate Dave? he gets well cheap stuff!! check this; 1 kg of hand made sugar £8.56, three tins of homemade lasagne £16.44, 6 rashers of handreared bacon £14.20. Why don't people support their local farmers? we all have a potential Dave living nearby!
