Next week, Coca-Cola Great Britain (CCGB) launches the first stage of a new, interactive and innovative website – www.letsgettogether.co.uk - designed to evolve and be shaped by the questions and queries posed by its consumers.

The new website

The first phase of Let’s Get Together launches on Wednesday 16th January 2008. It will be focused on two key activities, the first of which being the recruitment of members of the public who would like the chance to meet with decision-makers from CCGB, to discuss their thoughts and concerns about the company’s work, from product ingredients to activity in the communities in which the company operates.

The second key area of the launch site will be an interactive Questions and Answers section. Consumers will be invited to search for and post questions they have about the company and its drinks. Whether its ‘why is Coke brown?’ or ‘what is the company doing to reduce its impact on the environment?’ CCGB is committed to answering questions openly and honestly.

The site will evolve over time, developing according to both the feedback from those consumers who meet with CCGB decision-makers face-to-face and in response to the evolution of the Questions and Answers section. Visitors to the site will also be able to search an ever growing archive of questions and answers. Key areas of the site will develop in time to allow for greater exploration of those questions or concerns that consumer feedback has shown to be most relevant to CCGB’s consumers.

The website is the latest stage in a series of steps by Coca-Cola to help provide their consumers with clear and transparent information. CCGB has long been committed to providing its consumers with the right information to ensure that they can make an informed choice about its drinks and company. To date, this has been via a variety of routes including on pack nutritional labels, company website, annual reports and a dedicated Customer Information Centre (0800 227711).

Sanjay Guha, President of Coca-Cola Great Britain, said: “We’re committed to providing our customers with great tasting, high quality drinks the world over, plus the information they need in order to make an informed choice, not just about our drinks, but about how we operate as a company too. There’s a lot that we’re already doing, but that doesn’t stop us from asking ourselves what else we can do to truly provide the best information and answers to all of our consumers’ queries or concerns in a way that is always, open, honest and transparent.

More and more people are now contacting CCGB by email rather than telephone to ask for information about our products or company and with 15.4m households now online in the UK, we know that many people today are using the web to search for more information about products and companies.

That’s why we’ve created this new website - to give people the opportunity to ask us questions, share their thoughts and find out more about our commitment and passion for our drinks, our consumers, the people who work for us and the communities in which we operate.”
