Spar UK chooses Soplica Polish vodka
Soplica vodka will go into SPAR stores across the UK this month. This comes as a result of the convenience store group broadening its vodka range and looking for a vodka to represent its Polish vodka section. Spar is the UK's leading convenience store group with over 2,600 stores throughout the country and plans in place for further expansion. The well-known store group is also part of the worlds largest international food retail chain with nearly 16,000 stores in 34 countries. Gyles Walker, Spar UKs Wines & Spirits Trading Manager, said: There is no mistaking how Polish products are becoming common place in stores throughout the UK - naturally, Spar is no exception. Vodka is large part of Polish heritage and Soplica is one of Poland oldest and well-known vodka brands. This link up is a natural progression as, like us, Soplica offers a quality product that is fairly priced. Distributed by OceanSpirits, Soplica was brought to the UK by Polish entrepreneurs Michal Gierak and Filip Wojcikiewicz. Since its launch in Somerfield in December 2005, Soplica has gained further listings including Thresher, Nisa-Todays, Local, Costcutter, and Spar Scotland. Commenting on the partnership, Wojcikiewicz said: We are delighted that Soplica will be representing the Polish vodka section in Spar stores around the UK - where customers will be able to enjoy this premium vodka at mainstream prices. Gierak and Wojcikiewicz are confident that the UK consumer, increasingly demanding authentic products from their country of origin, will continue to respond well to the brand.
