Austrian store uses high impact window advertisingPremium Austrian food store and café, Julius Meinl am Graben, is using digital window advertising to promote its gourmet food offers. The Vikuiti Rear Projection Film technology, supplied by 3M, maximises the visual impact to passing shoppers with a wide viewing angle and strong performance in bright daylight. The 70in display is used to communicate promotions 18 hours a day. Andreas Wastian, art director of Julius Meinl am Graben, said: We were using a competitive window display solution to present our food store promos but the images were very poor in direct sunlight. The front window of our café faces into the sun all day so it was necessary to change to a new display solution capable of addressing this challenge, while increasing audience viewing figures. We tested Vikuiti Rear Projection Film and were impressed with its reliable, round-the-clock performance, even in bright conditions. Julius Meinl was founded in 1862 as a retailer of roasted coffee beans and is one of the strongest retail brands in Austria. Its Vienna store is located in the am Graben area, which is popular with tourists and city workers.
