Clipper is top green tea in the UK according to new research

Source : Clipper Teas

Clipper Teas, the Dorset based tea manufacturer, is officially Number One for Green tea in the UK, says new research data surveying the UK tea drinking habits.

Also, it's Green tea that's creating this summer's storm in a teacup, with more people than ever switching to this super brew.

Following a recently published independent research report, Clipper's Pure Green Tea was found to be the UK's Number One selling Green Tea.

In addition, the company has released their own sales figures, which show a huge growth in Pure Green Tea sales over the past 12 months – with sales equating to over one million cups of tea a week.

Clipper's Pure Green Tea is a specially grown Green China Tea, known as Chun Mee. It is recognised as one of the world's most refreshing teas and is naturally high in antioxidants, which have been linked to the prevention or slowing of cancer.

Commenting on Clipper's recent success, Gill Hesketh, Head of Marketing at Clipper Teas commented; “We are delighted with Clipper's recent success. Our sales figures indicate that Clipper's Pure Green Tea is outperforming all others in the Green Tea area, which itself is the fastest growing tea category in the UK, with Year On Year growth at 14%.”

She went onto add: “Hundreds of cups of Clipper Green tea are consumed every minute at the moment, a phenomenal figure compared to a few years ago.

We think the switch is due to lifestyle changes, greater choice in the stores and the fact that diet and refreshment are increasingly important to women at this time of year as they tend to drink green tea without milk.”
