Weeton's of Harrogate appoints Future Fresh as key fruit and vegetable supplier

A shared commitment to Yorkshire's finest fresh produce is at the root of a new partnership between Weeton's of Harrogate and Future Fresh, their new principal supplier of fruit and vegetables.

The prestigious North Yorkshire store, which has gained national recognition as a retailer of over 1,000 lines of high quality produce, has contracted Future Fresh to supply 80 per cent of their fruit and vegetables, complementing the traditional meat, game, bakery, cheese, delicatessen, fine wine, cake and biscuit ranges.

Ripon-based Future Fresh will be responsible for meeting the stringent demands of a daily operation requiring total freshness of produce.

“Future Fresh offers a combined experience of over 100 years in the procurement and distribution of fresh local produce throughout Yorkshire, promoting the best regional growers, so they certainly have the expertise to support our commitment to quality and the ongoing re-invigoration of the local market.”

Founded in 2005, Weeton's is firmly established as part of the Harrogate scene and has gained widespread acclaim, including a listing in the Daily Express Top 100 Shops in the World and the Countryside Alliance's Best Rural Retailer 2006, beating over 600 other nominations from across the UK.

The store includes a bustling café and its local produce is complemented by exotic flavours sourced from suppliers around the world.

After many successful years of trading within the wholesale sector, Future Fresh is increasingly meeting demand for choice local produce in the ever expanding catering and hospitality market.
