Special Edition Cartons to enter the 'freshnlo' Great Scottish Run from the fridge!

Source : freshnlo

'freshnlo', Scotand's original and best selling low fat milk, is continuing its support of the Great Scottish Run by launching limited edition packaging.

The brand, which is the official sponsor of the run, hopes to encourage as many people as possible to sign up for Scotland's largest sports participation event by featuring details of how you can enter the race on special promotional packs.

The packaging, which will go into thousands of homes throughout Scotland, is part of a five month campaign across print, billboard and radio mediums to promote the event; which last year attracted a record entry of 20,753.

For the first time in the event's 26 year history the races will be spread over two days. The Junior 3K race for runners aged 9-17 will take place on Saturday 1st September and the 10K and half marathon will take place the following day.

The packaging reflects these changes, with two separate designs, one promoting the junior run under the banner 'Great Scottish Fun' and the other promoting the senior race, running on 250ml and 500ml cartons, and 1, 2 and 3 litre labels.

Sandy Wilkie, Robert Wiseman Dairies Sales and Marketing Director commented: “This if our fourth year sponsoring the run. For us it has always been about bringing together two distinctive healthy brands in their own right, and creating a unique proposition that links health and diet in a simple but effective way.

“Milk is a key component of a healthy diet, and the fact that it's 90% water, makes it a great choice in terms of hydration, particularly when you are in training.

“What better way to link these two elements then, than to promote the run on packaging which goes into millions of homes every day?

“And not only are you helping to look after your own health, but you can also do your bit for a charity of your choice as the run is one of the biggest fundraising events in Scotland.”
