Baxters Soup Choices pots exclusively in Tesco
Baxters has launched a new range of real soups in microwaveable pots at this year's Tesco Enjoy the Taste of Scotland show in Edinburgh which took place 4-7 May 2007. The new pots are an extension to the recently launched 'Soup Choices' range of single-serve pouch soups. The pots are designed to provide a convenient lunch for individuals on the go. The 'pot' format allows the soup to be microwaved and served straight up without the need for a bowl. The range includes two 'smooth' recipes - Tomato & Sweet Basil and Butternut Squash, Carrot & Red Pepper - plus three 'chunky' varieties: Medley of Country Vegetable, Smoked Bacon & Mixed Bean and Spiced Lentil, Tomato and Vegetable. Kerr Arthur, brands controller at Baxters, said: "Baxters is renowned for the quality of its soups and they are increasingly popular as a great lunch in the home. However, our research shows that people often find having real soup at work a bit of a hassle. The range has been launched exclusively in Tesco stores throughout the country priced £1.29 for the smooth varieties and £1.49 for the chunky varieties. The company also showcased some of its other popular brands at the event, including Garners pickles and Peppadew peppers, plus Baxters' own preserves and beetroots.
