Alliance Wine to show raft of innovations at London Wine Trade Fair - Stand Q50

Monday, 23 April 2007
After a year of huge developments for Alliance Wine, London Wine Trade Fair will showcase many innovations from Alliance.

Alliance Wine Australia Pty Ltd has been set up to produce economic brands for Alliance Wine UK and has attracted one of Australia 's leading winemakers as director of the new company. Peter Leske, formerly head winemaker for Adelaide Hills producer Nepenthe, has a global reputation for integrity and impeccable winemaking.

Ideally positioned to facilitate the sourcing and packaging of Alliance's brands, Leske will add credibility and expertise that will give Alliance a clear competitive edge in the U.K market. Taste the first wines from this new venture, One Chain Vineyards, on our stand Q50.

Alliance has also become the place to go for exciting Spanish wines and over the past three years, Alliance has put together a range that now reads like a who's who of all that is good in the new Spain - Luis Cañas, Remelluri and Manzanos in Rioja, Cillar de Silos, Alvarez y Diez & Buil & Giné in Ribera del Duero, Rueda and Priorat respectively.

Coupled with the Caré wines of Cariñena and Cava from Miret, this was already a strong line up. However, Giles Cooke MW believes Spain has so much to offer the consumer in terms of quality, diversity, charisma and value that a further swathe of producers have joined Alliance in the UK market.

Come along and taste new projects from Rias Baixas, Somontano, Bierzo, Yecla and Cigales, not to mention the new entry point brand, Centelleo.

Alliance will also be showing a huge array of wines from Argentina, South Africa, New Zealand, Chile, Portugal, France and Italy.
