And the winner is…

Comedian Rhod Gilbert made a few good points as compare of this year’s Quality Food Awards, which were held in Battersea last night.

In a jokingly sarcastic Welsh way, he said there are only “400 awards” to go, and suggested, on a few occasions, that the audience were losing interest.

Of course, the awards were actually quite good, but I enjoyed this knowing irreverence.

Although it did get me thinking about just how many awards ceremonies there are these days.

I’ve made a list of my own awards, which you can imagine attending, and also imagine how much you would drink there, and also imagine how many people you pretend to enjoy talking to.
