Hermes has announced that it has teamed up with retail convenience business One Stop Stores Ltd to launch the myHermes ParcelShop service in 250 of its stores. It said the partnership will see the myHermes ParcelShop network increase to over 1,400 locations in order to deal with the increased demand for the two-day delivery service.
One Stop said the myHermes ParcelShop proposition was chosen as part of its commitment to providing a range of in-store services for customers within the local neighbourhood. It said each location was chosen based on a range of criteria including extended opening times, high population and customer demand in order to maximise parcel volumes.
One Stop step change manager John Sargeant said: “Our key focus is to provide the best store in the neighbourhood to meet the needs of our local customers. The myHermes ParcelShops will significantly strengthen our in store services offer, providing a high quality, cost effective and industry leading delivery solution, which is an ideal fit with our business.”
Hermes head of new market development Steve Murray said: “We have a considered approach to the expansion of our ParcelShop network to ensure all sites meet our requirements in terms of quality, location and availability, to match the profile of the consumer brands we deliver on behalf of. As a well-known and trusted name within the community, One Stop reflects the core values of the myHermes ParcelShop network, enabling us to grow the service in an effective and sustainable way.”
