Despite a sales rise of 5.2% to £128m in 2007, it dropped one place in the rankings, while sister brand Mars rose by 13 places.

The group still has the lion’s share of confectionery brands in the Top 100, however, with Galaxy (18), Mars (40), Maltesers (41) and Twix (96) all ranking.

Combined they have a value of £520.8m versus Cadbury Trebor Bassett, whose Cadbury Dairy Milk and Cadbury Roses brands are worth a total £445.2m; and Nestlé, whose Top 100 brands, Kitkat, Quality Street and Aero, are worth a combined £303.1m.
