Do you wanna pizza me?

It seems that my advice on how to tackle robbers has been utilised.

Last week after shopkeeper Varsha Patel threw scalding tea at the rouges who tried to steal money from her shop in Bedfordshire, I drew up a list of grocery weapons.

Now US pizza delivery man Eric Lopez Devictoria, 40, has thrown one of the Italian delicacies at a gunman in Miramar.

And even though the quick-thinking pizza courier was shot at as he ran away, he remained unscathed.

Good ending as well: three teenagers were charged with armed robbery following the attack.

Hopefully less people will be attacked by armed robbers in the future, but at least this shows they are being pro-active in their approach to a sudden attack.

A word of warning though: do not use food as an impromptu weapon unless you really have to.

Oh, and the pizza was pepperoni in case you're wondering.
