Hold the front page: man goes for walk

Just received the following press release from Poundland. I keep checking my watch to make sure it's not still 1 April.

POUNDLAND BOSS SETS EXAMPLE

"Poundland boss Jim McCarthy set a great example last week whilst on his way to a conference. Instead of hopping in a taxi or being chauffeur driven like some of the delegates he was joining, Jim opted to walk the two miles from Euston station to Edgware Road.

"Commenting on his half hour stroll, Jim said: ‘When I think what it takes for Poundland to make £12 profit, I was hardly going to spend it on a cab.'

"This is a great demonstration of how Poundland doesn’t just talk the talk, but actually walks the walk too."
