Tesco customers "spend like there's no tomorrow - as long as they think they're getting a bargain" and "want one of everything they can get for free - whether they need it or not." A Sainsbury’s shopper "is the sort who makes a shopping list – and rigidly sticks to it", while Asda customers "like to savour their supermarket shop. It’s a chance to get away from the kids, work, the dog, and the house and even have a natter to one of the checkout staff."
And finally, Waitrose "is for the kind of shopper who doesn’t know the price of anything they buy. And they don’t care. All they know is that they tend to spend between £60 and £100 every time – usually depending on how many bottles of wine they’ve got in their trolley."
