Ham sandwich blamed for global warmingFood researchers at Sheffield Hallam University have traced the carbon footprint of the humble ham sandwich. Taking into account factors such as growing the wheat and raising the pig, they concluded that the typical high-street ham sarnie has a carbon "footprint" of between 14 and 34 grams of CO2.
