Cows lay eggs, don't they?

Related stories

One in 20 children don't know where milk comes from, cows lay eggs, cows eating grass turns their milk green and a shocking 10% of East Midlands children think baked beans come from a farm.

This sounds like the spoof carried out by the BBC in1957 when the nation quietly watched a reporter on TV showing pictures of spaghetti growing on trees.

Alas, the cow egg proposition is no spoof but taken from research carried out in April 2007 by TNS Online Kids Omnibus for Dairy Farmers of Britain.

I've got a headache.
