"Touchy feely" image for US Tescos
It seems Tesco is looking to cultivate a much more touchy-feely image as it attempts to expand into the US, even adopting a baby elephant in Kenya in an attempt to cultivate its green credentials.
However, US commentators have been quick to point out that in much of the rest of the world its image is much more like that of Wal-mart "in size, selection and controversy".
