Supermarkets versus locals

A Sunday Times journalist from Sevenoaks in Kent has just completed a "Super Size Me" style experiment - spending one month shopping only at supermarkets and another shopping only locally.

The result? He has given up shopping at supermarkets entirely, saying he and his family now enjoy mealtimes more, eat tastier food and their weekly shop is actually cheaper.
