Sleepwalker robs Costcutter at knifepoint
Cracking story in the Sunday People the other day. A Maidstone woman, it seems, has been cleared of armed robbery of a Costcutter store after the jury decided she was sleepwalking at the time. "Maria Hudson, 36, donned pink rubber gloves and pulled a pair of tights over her head then walked to a Costcutter store 10 minutes from her home wielding a 12-inch kitchen knife," we are informed. She was cleared after medical experts said she was in a trancelike state called "insane automatism" brought on by epilepsy. Follow this link for the whole story
